The Greens at Hickory is seeking an experienced, hands‑on Maintenance Director to lead all aspects of facility maintenance and plant operations in our skilled nursing and rehabilitation center.

As the Maintenance Director, you will play a critical role in ensuring our building, equipment, and grounds are maintained to the highest standards. Your work directly impacts resident safety, regulatory compliance, and the overall experience of everyone who enters our facility.

• Oversee the day‑to‑day operations of the maintenance department
• Implement and manage preventative maintenance programs
• Maintain HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems
• Ensure compliance with Life Safety Code, OSHA, and state and federal regulations
• Conduct routine inspections of the building, grounds, and equipment
• Coordinate and supervise outside contractors and vendors
• Respond quickly to urgent maintenance issues
• Assist during state surveys and inspections
• Develop and complete plans of correction when needed
• Manage departmental inventory, budgets, and purchasing

• Minimum of 2 years of maintenance leadership experience
• Healthcare, skilled nursing, or long‑term care experience strongly preferred
• Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building systems
• Familiarity with life safety and regulatory compliance requirements
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
• Excellent organizational and communication abilities
• Ability to lead by example and work collaboratively with all departments
