Maintenance Technician

Performs preventive and corrective maintenance of equipment, systems and structures throughout the facility. Assists in the effective and efficient operations of the department.

Essential Functions

• Assist with inspection, installation, tests, maintains, and repairs machinery, equipment, and systems as scheduled or needed. (cleans, lubricates, adjusts and calibrates)
• Performs utility and structural repairs as needed, alone or in collaboration with internal/external tradespersons.
• Assistance with motors, pumps, conveyor belts, sterilizers, pneumatic tubing, HVAC, refrigeration equipment and medical gas delivery systems as assigned. Gives assistance with vendors as needed.
• Moves items within/between locations and from/to storage.
• Adherence to all core measure initiatives, patient safety goals, and NQF Safe Practices.
• Works with contractors in reading blueprints.

Minimum Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent

Minimum Work Experience

• Specialized training, good mechanical skills required
• 5-7years related experience required.
• Specialized License or Certification preferred.
• Good verbal and written skills required.
• Lead critical communication skills to staff required.
