Lead Water Utility Technician
Performs responsible skilled work in the installation, repair and maintenance of water and sewer lines; may operate mechanical equipment and does related work as required. Supervises Utility Technicians at work sites and as needed in the absence of O&M and Assistant O&M Supervisors.
RequirementsMust be a current employee of Halifax County. Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school and experience in the maintenance, repair and/or construction of water and sewer lines. Possession of an appropriate driver’s license valid in the State of North Carolina is required. Applicants with a Class B CDL preferred.
CompensationThe hiring range for this position is $41,048-$45,903. Halifax County provides a comprehensive employee benefits package, including membership in the N.C. Local Government Employees’ Retirement System.
