Job Summary

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for supporting the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of company facilities, grounds, fleet, and production-related equipment. This role performs preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and general facility upkeep across multiple buildings and operational areas. The position also supports fleet maintenance activities, uses a computerized maintenance management system to track work and assets, and coordinates with outside vendors and contractors when needed.

The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, experience with preventative maintenance programs, and the ability to manage multiple maintenance priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Core Responsibilities
  • Perform daily maintenance operations for plant, engineering, warehouse, and office facilities.
  • Troubleshoot and repair building systems and equipment to support safe and efficient operations with minimal downtime.
  • Support HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and general building maintenance.
  • Complete routine repairs, painting, renovations, filter replacement, and minor plumbing work.
  • Maintain production and operational equipment such as air compressors, spray equipment, conveyors, ovens, pneumatic tools, dust collectors, saws, sanders, and related machinery.
  • Respond to emergency maintenance requests in a timely manner.
  • Support maintenance needs in additional company buildings and operational areas as required.
  • Assist with company grounds and outdoor area maintenance.
  • Schedule and coordinate repairs with outside technicians, vendors, and contractors.
  • Maintain service records, work orders, inspection records, and asset history in the company maintenance system.
  • Support preventative maintenance programs for facilities, fleet, and equipment.
  • Schedule and track routine vehicle maintenance and repairs.
  • Maintain documentation related to fleet and vehicle service.
  • Keep the maintenance department clean, safe, and organized.
  • Maintain logs for tools, equipment, and assigned assets.
  • Reinforce proper care and accountability for tools, machines, and maintenance equipment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

A high school diploma or GED is required. Technical training or trade school education is preferred. Candidates should have at least three to five years of experience in industrial, commercial, or facilities maintenance, along with experience supporting preventative maintenance programs and general building or facility repair. Experience using a computerized maintenance management system such as Limble is preferred. Experience with fleet maintenance or vehicle service coordination is also preferred.

Knowledge,

Skills, and Abilities

The successful candidate will have working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical systems, and general facility maintenance. The role requires the ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment and facility systems, read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, schematics, and equipment documentation, and use hand tools, power tools, diagnostic tools, and maintenance testing equipment safely and effectively. Strong mechanical aptitude, sound judgment, attention to detail, record‑keeping ability, and effective written and verbal communication skills are essential.

The candidate must also be able to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and communicate effectively with internal contacts and outside vendors.

Certifications and Licenses

A valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record is required
. EPA Universal Certification, OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification, and relevant trade certifications in HVAC, electrical, or plumbing are preferred.
