Seasonal Traffic Marking & Sign Crew Technician

Seasonal Temporary Worker - Traffic Engineering (2) Position Purpose

The purpose of this position is to assist the Sign and Paint Division in painting pavement marking on roadways and in parking lots. This will include assisting the paint crew with stencils on streets and in parking lots and place and remove protective cones which divert traffic from paint work. Assist in the clean-up of the paint machines and stencils. Also assist in erecting, repairing or removing street signs and post when weather is not acceptable for painting.

Assist in cleaning spray painting equipment. Assist the crew in using stencils and spray paints to paint markings in roads and crosswalks. Assist in the erection of new street signs and replace or repair existing signs. Perform heavy manual labor. Full job description available through Human Resources

High School diploma. Must be 18 years or older. Prior work-related experience would be helpful. Valid driver’s license. a Criminal Offenders Record Information (CORI), and a background check.

This position is for 16 weeks of which will be during the busy paint season;
May through October. The job is Tuesday through Saturday, 7:00 a.m.

-3:30 p.m. The hours may change when painting and can start as early as 5:30 a.m. This position will be 40 hours per week.
