Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
Sign‑on retention bonus: $1,500 available for eligible candidates.

SummaryLocated in Highland Heights, Ohio, the Heat Treater performs essential heat‑treating operations under the direction of a foreman or plant manager to meet customer specifications and may assist other employees as needed.
We are looking for a talented and motivated individual to join our team as a Heat Treating Technician. Depending on your qualifications, this role may be filled at one of the following levels:
Level C:Entry Level (0–24 months of heat‑treating experience)
- Assists with operation, control, and monitoring of heat‑treating equipment, following procedures on shop travelers and/or customer paperwork.
Mid Level (2–3 years of experience)
- Operates, controls, and monitors heat‑treating equipment per written procedures.
Senior Level (3–5 years of experience)
- Independently operates, controls, and monitors heat‑treating equipment, leading initiatives and mentoring junior staff.
- Prepare work for processing; load and unload furnaces, bins, fixtures, baskets, etc.
- Report any unusual problems or irregularities to the supervisor.
- Promote safety and good housekeeping.
- Perform other tasks as assigned or dictated by the position.
- Care for customer inventory and operate safely to prevent loss or damage.
- Arrive on time, follow directions, interact effectively with co‑workers, understand and follow rules and procedures, and accept constructive criticism.
- Must satisfy ITAR compliance; U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status required.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Additional qualifications:
- Working knowledge of metallurgy, temperatures, and related processes.
- Availability for overtime, shift work, and weekends.
- Forklift operation certification.
- Proficiency in English reading, writing, and communication.
- Ability to stand for extended periods in an industrial environment.
- Ability to bend, pull, stoop, and reach as required.
- Capability to lift up to 35 lb.
- Exposure to heat, fumes, noise, humidity, etc.
- Cognitive and mental capacity to perform essential job functions.
- Effective oral and written communication.
- Visual acuity for reading documents, screens, files, etc.
- Auditory ability in person and via telephone.
