Facilities Maintenance Manager
Apex Network Physical Therapy is seeking an experienced, dependable, and solutions-oriented Facilities Maintenance Manager to support the ongoing maintenance, repair, and improvement of our clinic and corporate facilities throughout the Bi-State area. This position is ideal for someone who is highly self-motivated, takes pride in their work, and has broad hands-on experience with facility maintenance, repairs, construction, and general building systems.
The Facilities Maintenance Manager will work independently and collaboratively with clinic leadership, contractors, vendors, and the corporate team to keep our facilities safe, functional, professional, and well maintained.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine and preventative maintenance, repairs, and improvements at Apex Network clinic and corporate facilities.
- Respond to facility maintenance requests and troubleshoot building, equipment, and system issues.
- Perform general maintenance involving plumbing, electrical, HVAC, mechanical systems, carpentry, drywall, painting, flooring, lighting, and other building repairs within the employee's qualifications and as permitted by applicable law.
- Coordinate with qualified contractors and vendors when work requires specialized expertise, licensing, permitting, or additional resources.
- Assist with the construction, setup, renovation, relocation, and opening of new and existing clinic locations.
- Work closely with contractors and vendors during facility projects and communicate project status to leadership.
- Perform landscaping and exterior property maintenance, including weed control, litter removal, snow and ice removal, and seasonal irrigation system winterization/dewinterization.
- Assist with maintenance and coordination of alarm, fire protection, and other building systems.
- Replace light bulbs, fixtures, and other routine facility components.
- Perform carpet cleaning, painting, minor construction, furniture assembly, equipment installation, and general facility upkeep.
- Maintain accurate records of preventative maintenance, repairs, inspections, replacement parts, and completed projects.
- Maintain, inspect, and coordinate routine service and repairs for company vehicles.
- Properly maintain, secure, and inventory company-owned tools, equipment, parts, and maintenance supplies.
- Monitor inventory and proactively identify supplies, equipment, or replacement parts that need to be ordered.
- Identify facility concerns before they become larger problems and recommend practical, cost-effective solutions.
- Prioritize competing maintenance requests based on urgency, safety, operational impact, and business needs.
- Maintain clean and safe work areas and follow applicable safety procedures when completing maintenance activities.
- Occasionally assist with transportation needs related to company meetings, business development activities, projects, or events.
- Perform maintenance or project-related work for affiliated companies or ownership as assigned.
- Travel to company locations throughout the Bi-State area and occasionally to facilities outside of Illinois.
- Be available for occasional evening, weekend, emergency, or after-hours work based on operational needs.
- Represent Apex Network professionally when interacting with employees, patients, vendors, contractors, and members of the public.
- Perform other related projects and responsibilities as assigned.
High school diploma or GED. Previous experience in facilities maintenance, building maintenance, construction, property maintenance, skilled trades, or a related field. General working knowledge of building maintenance, including basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, mechanical, and HVAC troubleshooting. Ability to safely operate common hand tools, power tools, ladders, maintenance equipment, and other equipment necessary for the position. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
