Pay: $27.61 - $41.41 / hour (based on experience)
Operates and maintains equipment, systems and utilities. Performs maintenance of central plant equipment and provides expertise to staff.
Responsibilities- Implies utility systems or equipment operating systems to meet patient care needs.
- Diagnoses, remedies and recommends improvements for existing utility systems and equipment.
- Ensures minimal disruption to patient care during emergencies and provides fire control access to minimally accessible spaces.
- Maintains compliance with manufacturer specifications and standard safety precautions.
- Records meter and gauge readings and repair work performed.
- Inspects and chemically treats boiler water and cooling towers, maintaining approved pH range.
- Operates fire system control devices and panels, performing minor repair work and maintenance and custodial services.
- Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to work in a fast‑paced environment and take appropriate action.
- Driver’s License
- Stationary Engineer experience
- High School diploma or GED;
Preferred: HVAC training program or extensive maintenance experience. - Class A Stationary Certificate, or can become Class A certified within 1 year of hire.
- 3 years of experience in an industrial maintenance setting; 6 years of relevant experience.
