Grounds Maintenance

CPO Certification (Certified Pool Operator). If they do not have a current certification, they must be able to obtain one prior to May 20th, 2026 (Palomino Park covers the cost of materials and the first attempt at the exam. If the employee leaves within one year, it must be paid back).

Specific to Palomino Park

Safety and Security

Checking interior and exterior buildings for any structural integrity issues.

Checking for glass breakage.

Checking for damage to doors and enclosures.

Checking for safety issues in the PPOA common grounds and fence line.

Appropriate signage.

Repairs as needed.

• Handle basic preventative and corrective maintenance tasks.
• Keep the grounds in a clean and attractive manner.
• Monitor the upkeep and maintenance of the landscaping and grounds daily.
• Clean sidewalks and dispose of debris and trash properly.
• Assist other staff with larger maintenance repairs or projects.

Upkeep and Repair of Buildings and Common Grounds (included but not limited to)

Pool area within the fence line

Pond

Gazebo

Gatehouse

Clubhouse

Tennis and Pickleball courts

Baseball, football and soccer ball fields.

PPOA streets and sidewalks

Playground / Sand pit

Volleyball courts

Administration

Assist the supervisor with administrative tasks such as gathering information for RFPs from concept to completion.

Fill in for the supervisor and direct reports.

Responsible for all aspects of Building and Ground Maintenance and upkeep.

Compensation: $19-$22.00/hour; direct experience highly considered.

• Knowledge of equipment such as lawnmowers, blowers, and trimmers, and familiarity with a variety of gardening tools for different purposes.
• Reliability and physical fitness, as the job can be quite labor-intensive.
• Knowledge of general maintenance requirements, documentation, safety, required reporting, and regulations.
• Knowledge of State or local governmental safety requirements.
• Self‑motivated, proactive, detail‑oriented, and a team player.
• Interpretation and completion of verbal and/or written instruction.
• Knowledge of electrical and plumbing codes and maintenance requirements.
• Knowledge of OSHA worksite and personal safety requirements.
• Knowledge of State or local governmental safety requirements (repeated).
• Ability to occasionally fill in for a building maintenance technician, including high ladder work.
• Pond maintenance knowledge is a plus.

Certified Pool Operator required, along with a current valid driver’s license.
