Position
Maintenance Assistant/Driver – Carriage Court Senior Living – Hilliard, Ohio
Hours & WageFull‑time 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Starting wage: $17.50 – $22.75 per hour.
Responsibilities- Assist the Plant Operations Director in maintaining all areas of the community and servicing equipment and tools.
- Rapidly respond to repair and maintenance requests, documenting progress and completion.
- Maintain safety for employees, guests, and residents, identifying potential hazards and responding to emergencies.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including construction, refinishing, painting, plumbing, floor and carpet care, and refurbishing.
- Operate ladders and equipment safely; work both indoors and outdoors with necessary PPE.
- Minimum age 18 years.
- HVAC certification and experience highly recommended.
- At least two (2) years of experience in apartment or multi‑unit maintenance with supervisory responsibilities.
- Knowledge of construction, refinishing, painting, plumbing, flooring, carpet care, and refurbishing.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to lift or move items weighing more than 50 pounds frequently.
- Physical capability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, and use ladders; work outdoors in inclement weather.
- Clear criminal background check.
- Good health and physical fitness; medical screening within six (6) months of employment and free of pulmonary tuberculosis.
- Clean driving record required.
- Experience in senior housing preferred.
- Knowledge of current OSHA regulations.
