Job Overview

Amentum is seeking a Safety Shower Maintenance Technician to ensure the safe operation and maintenance of safety showers and eyewash stations in both outdoor and critical facility environments.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct maintenance on facility equipment with a professional and safe approach.
  • Provide professional feedback to update preventative maintenance procedures.
  • Maintain tools and order supplies as required for installation and repairs.
  • Comply with departmental policy for the safe storage, usage, and disposal of chemicals.
  • Maintain a clean and safe workspace.
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks and complete documentation in a timely manner.
  • Actively participate in emergency response procedures, technical and safety training programs.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Team player, hard worker, good interpersonal skills, and ability to communicate well in both oral and written reports.
  • Prior knowledge of working within a cleanroom environment is a plus.
  • Skilled and physically able to operate hand tools, work on a ladder, carry tools, lift and carry loads, and operate required equipment.
  • Able to work in close places such as closets, crawl spaces, attics, vaults, etc., and on roofs of buildings.
  • Completion of written documentation is required.
  • Familiarity with computers and office automation applications, including Microsoft Office.
  • Strong customer service orientation and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Valid Oregon or other driver’s license.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
Education & Experience
  • High school diploma or state equivalent required.
  • Prior experience maintaining a high‑tech or cleanroom environment is highly desirable.
  • Experience with CMMS, overseeing storeroom operations, and improving inventory practices is a plus.
Additional Requirements
  • Qualified applicants must pass a pre‑employment substance abuse test.
  • Position does not include sponsorship for U.S. work authorization.
  • Requires obtaining a security access badge at the client’s location.
  • Ability to work in an aerial lift or scissor lift at heights up to 30 feet or higher.
Physical &

Work Environment Requirements
  • Some tasks will require repetitive wrist movement.
  • Requires the ability to read and understand information on documents or computer screens.
  • Requires using office equipment and a computer keyboard to access databases, send/receive messages, and prepare documents.
  • Requires attending meetings throughout the site and potentially traveling to other Amentum, customer, or vendor locations, including occasional air travel.
  • Requires communication via telephone and participation in meetings, group discussions, and presentations.
  • Requires moving light to medium‑weight materials into desks, filing cabinets, and other storage locations.
  • Requires interacting with all clients in a professional and friendly manner despite periods of stress.
Special Requirements
  • Wear steel‑toe safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves, and other personal protective equipment as needed.
  • Cope with work‑related stressors to maintain acceptable performance levels.
  • Familiarity with facility equipment such as HVAC, plumbing, and electrical.
  • Experience in purchasing or subcontracting in a manufacturing, maintenance, or related service field.
  • Experience with CMMS and improving inventory practices.
Compensation & Benefits

Compensation: $20.00 – $26.00 per hour (hourly rate may vary based on role, experience, and other factors).
