Facility Maintenance Technician

The Facility Maintenance Technician maintains and repairs industrial sanitation equipment, facility infrastructure, and integrated building systems to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation. This role focuses primarily on facility systems while also supporting machines located inside and outside of clean rooms in an ISO-certified environment.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain and repair industrial sanitation machines and associated support equipment to minimize downtime and ensure consistent operation.
  • Perform routine inspection and replacement of HVAC filters and conduct basic HVAC maintenance, coordinating with external vendors for elevated HVAC issues.
  • Carry out basic plumbing and pipe repairs to support facility operations.
  • Service boilers and steam systems, including routine checks and minor repairs.
  • Repair and replace pumps and pressure systems to maintain proper flow and system performance.
  • Repair and replace light fixtures, electrical outlets, and equipment hookups as needed.
  • Service and repair water filtration and treatment systems to maintain water quality and system reliability.
  • Troubleshoot pneumatic systems and implement appropriate corrective actions.
  • Perform electrical troubleshooting up to 460V, 3-phase, following all safety procedures and standards.
  • Consistently follow lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures to ensure safe work practices during maintenance activities.
  • Perform mechanical repairs on basic gears, motors, and related components.
  • Assist with machine rigging when necessary to move, install, or reposition equipment safely.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance on production and facility equipment according to established schedules.
  • Collaborate with other technicians during overlapping shift times and communicate issues, status updates, and completed work clearly.
  • Enter clean rooms as needed to perform repairs or maintenance, adhering to required gowning and cleanliness procedures.
  • Support occasional pre-planned services or repairs on Saturdays, including overseeing vendor visits when requested.
Essential Skills
  • Previous mechanical troubleshooting experience on industrial or production equipment.
  • Hands-on experience working with both production machinery and basic facility systems such as HVAC and plumbing.
  • Ability to perform electrical troubleshooting up to 460V, 3-phase.
  • Experience with boilers, steam systems, pumps, and pressure systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot pneumatic systems and perform basic mechanical repairs on gears and motors.
  • Demonstrated skill in preventative maintenance and machine maintenance.
  • Strong attention to detail and a highly detail-oriented work style.
  • Safety-minded approach with a proactive attitude toward identifying and resolving issues.
  • Ability to correctly and consistently follow lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures.
  • Capability to identify and properly use basic hand and power tools.
  • Availability to work any assigned start time within the Monday–Friday day shift (3:00 a.m., 5:00 a.m., or 7:00 a.m.).
  • Willingness to enter clean rooms for repairs and follow partial gowning requirements when needed.
  • Reliable work habits and motivation to learn new systems and concepts.

  • Experience working in an ISO-certified facility or cleanroom environment.
  • Familiarity with water filtration and treatment systems.
  • Exposure to hydraulics and wiring in an industrial setting.
  • Comfort working independently for portions of the shift after initial overlap with other technicians.
  • Willingness to support occasional pre-planned Saturday services or vendor visits.
  • Strong communication skills and a positive, professional attitude.

Work Environment

The role is based in an ISO-certified facility that includes Class 4, 7, and 8 clean rooms, as well as general production and utility areas. Work is scheduled Monday through Friday on a day shift, with operations running from 3:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.; start times may be 3:00 a.m., 5:00 a.m., or 7:00 a.m., and occasional pre-planned Saturday work may be required for services or vendor oversight.
