Senior Commercial Drywall Estimator
A well-established and highly respected commercial wall and ceiling contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Commercial Drywall Estimator to join their growing team. This is an outstanding opportunity for a seasoned estimator looking for long-term stability, a collaborative culture, and the opportunity to make a significant impact within a successful organization.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience estimating commercial drywall, metal stud framing, and acoustical ceiling projects while building strong relationships with general contractors and subcontractors.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate quantity takeoffs, estimates, bids, and proposals for commercial drywall projects.
- Review plans, specifications, and bid documents.
- Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor pricing.
- Develop competitive pricing for labor, materials, and equipment.
- Coordinate with project managers and operations teams during project handoff.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with general contractors, vendors, and clients.
- Assist with value engineering and budgeting throughout the preconstruction process.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of commercial drywall estimating experience.
- Strong knowledge of metal stud framing, drywall systems, and acoustical ceilings.
- Experience preparing detailed takeoffs and competitive bid proposals.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Experience working directly with general contractors.
- Proficiency with OST, Quick Bid, Bluebeam, or comparable estimating software.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
