Cabinet Painter/ Spray Booth Operator

Summary

The Cabinet Painter/Spray Booth Operator will be responsible for finishing cabinet products with the appropriate finishes that customers desire. The position requires a high level of detail to ensure that there are no defects in the finished product. This position will utilize a spray gun, as well as touch up kits.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift to 50 lbs
• Verify colors and sheens match samples in the showroom
• Learn the different methods of priming cabinets
• Utilize senders to ensure smooth finish
• Learn the types of primers used, when to use them, how to thin and clean them
• Learn the how to assemble, clean and re assemble a paint sprayer
• Learn to identify damaged cabinets for cracks, Knicks, scratch.
• Notify management how much time it takes to perform a task so that appropriate planning can be made
• Attention to detail

• Delivering quality results in a timely manner

Responsibilities

• Learning the basics of cabinet refinishing, prep work needed to refinish cabinets, the time needed to accomplish each task, to provide excellent cabinet finishes
• It is the painter's responsibility to learn how to paint different style cabinet, and also ensure that each cabinet painted is free of flaws
• A painter will learn how to handle each order, and process according to customer specifications. Additionally, the Painter will notify management if there are any flaws that can't be fixed
• Remove and label cabinet doors
• Remove and label cabinet hinges
• Remove and label cabinet drawers
• Place hardware that was removed in baggies, for easy re installation
• Learn how to clean cabinet doors, drawers, cabinet boxes, underside of cabinets, with cleaners and scuff pads/rags to ensure they are free of dirt/grime/grease/oil etc.

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

$15.00-$20.00
