Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC Service Technician. This position will be responsible for performing electrical and mechanical inspection, start‑up, service, and maintenance on the equipment we sell. This is a full‑time opportunity for an energetic go‑getter. An ideal candidate will be customer service oriented and work well with others. The position requires a high level of correspondence with Project Managers, Service Coordinators, and customers.

Responsibilities
  • Performs electrical and mechanical inspection and maintenance on equipment to ensure peak performance
  • Perform specific preventative maintenance including belt adjustments, oiling, greasing and cleaning of equipment
  • Use experience and technical skills with preventive maintenance and system operations to determine service requirements
  • Interpret engineering drawings in reference to layout, location and operation of the system(s)
  • Represent the company in a positive manner to other trades, contractors and owners
  • Advise owner/representative on preventive maintenance inspections performed and corrective actions to be taken
  • Suggest additional services that are beneficial to the customer
  • Work in a team‑based environment to share information and workload while ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Submit required paperwork to Service Coordinator in a timely manner
  • Work safely on a daily basis and ensure all safety measures are taken at all times
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Flexibility to work overtime/ weekends, as required
The Required Profile
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license with good driving record
  • Current HVAC certification and OSHA 10 Training plus 1‑5 years’ experience as a Service Helper or Service Technician in a residential or commercial environment
  • Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office software and proficiency with handheld computers (e.g., smartphone, iPad)
  • Electrical knowledge required and EPA Certification Preferred (e.g., HVAC Journeyman, Boiler Operator, Gas Installer, etc.)
  • Ability to work in diverse conditions including mechanical equipment rooms, exposure to noise, extreme weather, risk of electrical shock, climbing/working at elevated heights, etc.
  • Must be able to climb, crawl, stoop, kneel and routinely lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, frequently up to 75 pounds
  • Work independently with minimal supervision and balance multiple varied duties
