Position TitlePDR Specialist
Position SummaryUnder the direction of the Branch Operations Manager, the PDR Specialist monitors, coordinates, and performs duties related to rental and sales inventory. Duties include maintaining, cleaning, washing, performing minor repairs, and basic preventive maintenance on trucks and equipment, as well as demonstrating vehicles to customers.
Essential Functions- Check and prepare all incoming and outgoing sales and rental trucks and equipment.
- Submit work orders for repair or maintenance of all trucks and equipment.
- Maintain service and repair files for all sales and rental trucks and equipment.
- Keep the yard clean and organized.
- Wash, fuel, and perform basic preventive maintenance per manufacturer specifications (240 hr or first service only).
- Perform minor repairs such as: electrical component fixture replacement; chassis component bracket replacement; engine component oil filler cap replacement; all major repairs in the main repair shop.
- Demonstrate safe and proper use of all trucks and equipment to customers.
- Report to and assist the Branch Operations Manager.
- Complete other duties as requested.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
- PC skills.
- Clear oral and written communication.
- Forklift certification or ability to be certified within 60 days.
- Operational and mechanical knowledge of rental trucks and equipment.
- Customer‑service skills and diplomatic manner.
- Walking, uneven terrain.
- Operating equipment and hand/power tools.
- Handling, lifting up to 60 lb.
- Reaching, stooping, bending, standing, climbing.
- Vision, hearing, and speaking required for communication and safety.
- Constant or intermittent noise.
- Varying outdoor and shop temperatures and weather.
- Exposure to odors, fumes, and harsh substances.
