Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance, inspect, diagnose, and repair systems, equipment, and buildings
• Ensure building codes and regulations are met and exceeded
• Coordinate needed work with front desk and housekeeping to maximize guest satisfaction
• Respond to guest issues in a timely and satisfactory manner
• Work with team on special projects

• At least two years of hotel maintenance experience or equivalent
• Understand that this is a resort open every day, even on holidays
• Must know or be willing to learn drywalling, applying texture, and painting
• Familiarity with HVAC systems is helpful
• Knowledge of electrical systems is also useful
• Plumbing and boiler basics is essential
• Technical skills with relevant equipment
• Important to accurately read blueprints and manuals
• Strong communications skills
• Multitasking abilities
• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, dig, use power tools, climb stairs and ladders, lift 25 pounds regularly, and 50 pounds upon occasion
• Must be flexible with hours and weekends
