255‑Day Calendar. Salary commensurate with verifiable years of experience.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Work experience as a custodian, familiarity with chemical safety, floor cleaning/care procedures and the use of appropriate machinery. Previous supervisory experience preferred. Must be a self‑starter and reliable.
• Alternative qualifications as may be approved by the Superintendent of Schools.

• Prompt and regular attendance.
• Exhibits a professional attitude and demeanor at all times in working with administrators, fellow employees, parents, students, and other stakeholders.
• Ensure that the standards set for building cleanliness, basic maintenance, and safety procedures are met and maintained by the custodial staff.
• Supervise the custodial crew to ensure job responsibilities are met on a daily basis.
• Actively participate in daily cleaning maintenance activities required for the facility.
• Cleaning areas include floors, tile and carpet, windows, walls, classrooms, common areas, gym, lunchroom, offices, outdoor grounds areas, and others as assigned.
• Utilize various equipment for scrubbing, vacuuming, buffing, and waxing floors.
• Prepare for and clean up after events scheduled for the facility/grounds during the day and/or night.
• Monitor usage, storage, and inventory of supplies and report needs to lead custodian.
• Keep records of periodic checks of equipment, fire extinguishers, playground items, etc.
• Assist the building principal/supervisor with general security of the building and fire safety.
• Perform emergency cleaning as necessary.
• Perform various duties as assigned by the Principal or Superintendent.

• Signed Liberty County School System Authorization for Release of Information form.
• Two recommendations from previous supervisors. One recommendation must be completed by a past immediate supervisor; the other may be a character reference. If no past employment, two character references will be required.
• Copy of GED or high school/college diploma or college transcripts.
• Live Scan check required with initial application. Criminal History check must be completed and on file.
