Operations Manager
Position at Leopardo Construction
Leopardo is looking for a Superintendent II to join our team as a traveler. As a Superintendent II, you will have the opportunity to run day-to-day field operations as you plan, direct, and coordinate designated project activities on medium-sized projects or as part of a team on large-sized projects. This includes subcontractor/vendor coordination activities and quality control.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Coordinate daily subcontractor, foremen, and self-perform activities
- Initiate a project quality plan to monitor initiatives, document associated observations and ensure compliance to work quality standards
- Verify field conditions by conducting daily jobsite walkthroughs in addition to daily safe work plans and toolbox talks
- Monitor the detailed master schedule, create two-week look ahead, and track critical dates of all activities affecting the project completion
- Coordinate and participate in pre-construction, weekly, and post-construction meetings
- Review construction documents, maintain on-site and in Plan Grid
- Generate pre-punch and punch lists, determine responsible subcontractors and ensure timely completion
- Build and nurture relationships with clients/owners, architects, developers, and subcontractors
- Actively promote Leopardo through participation in presenting new projects
- Assist in recruiting and training efforts
- Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university in construction, engineering, architecture or related fields preferred and/or equivalent training and experience
- 5+ years of supervisory experience as a construction Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent and a clear understanding of the business side of construction
- Comprehensive understanding in all divisions of work, methods, materials, scheduling and cost control; a knowledge of the market is required.
- Proven record of success on singular mid-sized projects ($1-5M) or multiple small-sized projects concurrently. Experience in the healthcare, retail and/or hospitality markets preferred
- Thorough understanding in construction technologies such as: scheduling software (Raken), Bluebeam, Plan Grid and associated construction software. Ability to read and understand blueprints
- Must have a valid driver's license
- OSHA 30 Hour certification and First Aid/CPR certification are a plus

Leopardo considers many factors when determining actual salary including experience, education, unique skillsets, abilities, market, geography and business needs. Target base salary range: $130-145k. This position is eligible for annual discretionary bonus and vehicle allowance. Leopardo does not discriminate based on any protected category with respect to wages.
