Position
Superintendent I (Traveler) at Leopardo Construction.
SummaryAs a Superintendent I, you will run day‑to‑day field operations, plan, direct and coordinate designated project activities, including subcontractor coordination and quality control.
Responsibilities- Coordinate daily subcontractor, foremen, and self‑perform activities.
- Initiate a project quality plan to monitor initiatives, document observations, and ensure compliance with work quality standards.
- Verify field conditions by conducting daily jobsite walkthroughs in addition to daily safe work plans and toolbox talks.
- Monitor the detailed master schedule, create a two‑week look‑ahead, and track critical dates of all activities affecting project completion.
- Coordinate and participate in pre‑construction, weekly, and post‑construction meetings.
- Review construction documents and maintain on‑site and in‑plan information.
- Generate pre‑punch and punch lists, determine responsible subcontractors, and ensure timely completion.
- Build and nurture relationships with clients/owners, architects, developers, and subcontractors.
- Actively promote Leopardo through participation in presenting new projects.
- Assist in recruiting and training efforts.
- Bachelor's degree from a four‑year college or university in construction, engineering, architecture or related fields preferred, or equivalent training and experience.
- 2+ years of supervisory experience as a construction Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent and a clear understanding of the business side of construction.
- Comprehensive understanding of all divisions of work, methods, materials, scheduling, and cost control.
- Competency in construction technologies such as scheduling software (e.g., Asta), daily reporting (e.g., Raken), Bluebeam, Plan Grid, and the ability to read and understand blueprints.
Responsible for managing the project.
