The Club at Prairie Stone is looking for a qualified individual to work as a part‑time Member Services Associate. The role promotes the Club by providing guests with quality service and information on the Club and all of the Hoffman Estates Park District offerings. The Associate supports service desk operations, membership sales and tours, fitness floor and general facility organization and cleanliness.
ShiftHours
- Monday–Thursday: 4:30am – 10:15pm
- Friday: 4:30am – 9:15pm
- Saturday: 5:30am – 9:15pm
- Sunday: 6:30am – 8:15pm
Must be available at least one weekend day and preferably for weekday night shifts. Approximately 8‑18 hours per week.
Essential Functions / Responsibilities General Administration- Follow building opening, closing, and shift procedures.
- Assist telephone and drop‑in customers with registration, pass management, point of sale, rentals, and other Park District activities.
- Assist in facility tours and membership sales.
- Monitor and maintain the club for cleanliness and safety.
- Enforce club rules as stated in the Member handbook.
- Follow cash drawer and cash receipts procedures.
- Meet uniform and appearance standards.
- Assist customers with facility questions and concerns.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Treat every customer with courtesy, respect, and friendliness.
- Ensure the safety of all customers and protection of district property.
- Provide accurate information about the Club and district.
- Enter registration, pass management, and point of sale efficiently and accurately.
- Monitor the facility to maintain customer satisfaction.
- Support, promote, and make recommendations regarding all safety, health and loss control policies adopted by the Park District.
- Can handle stressful situations with the public and other staff.
- Can respond to a customer's needs.
- Can adapt to changing needs and conditions of the position.
- Can handle physical requirements of picking up and organizing fitness equipment, cleaning, towel folding, and equipment familiarization.
- Can spend extended periods on computer and telephone.
- Can work at various times.
- Can follow directions and perform responsibilities as described.
- Has good problem‑solving skills.
- Uses good judgment with customers, co‑workers, and supervisors.
- Must be 16 years of age.
- Must have a valid Illinois Driver's License and reliable transportation.
- With training, have ability to work with Rec Trac and other service desk systems.
- 1–2 years of customer service experience preferred.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision.
