Geotechnical​/Environmental Engineer

Arcadis is seeking an entry‑level Geotechnical/Environmental Engineer to join our team in Hoffman Estates, IL. The role focuses on providing geotechnical and environmental support for utility clients within a Resilience Environment team.

The candidate will participate in field investigations, sampling, construction oversight, and stakeholder communication.

Responsibilities include:

• Operation and maintenance oversight for remediation systems (both water and vapor treatment systems)
• Soil and groundwater investigation and sample collection
• Site characterization and feasibility studies
• Data compilation, evaluation, and QA/QC
• Report writing, permitting, and cost estimating support
• Coordination with project managers and senior engineering staff

Field work requires daily regional business travel and occasional multi‑week travel within the U.S. A valid driver’s license is required. Travel expenses are reimbursable.

• BS in Geotechnical, Environmental, Civil, or related engineering field
