Job Summary:
The Civil Project Manager (PM) is directly responsible for executing complex project goals through agile and strategic leadership. By focusing on the client relationship, this individual participates in marketing and selling the project, setting fees, and negotiating contracts. The Civil PM will concentrate on creating an energized and collaborative environment and report directly to the Principal of the Practice Area.
Responsibilities:
- Provide on-site project leadership by applying financial acumen to meet client goals.
- Display superior work quality, cultural initiatives, and best practices to drive results as a team.
- Work with all Practice Areas to develop business, prepare proposals, and front for the firm.
- Develop procedures and winning strategies to guide team to project execution.
- Actively track each aspect of project performance against schedules and critical path; provide and acquire information from Principal-In-Charge and Principal.
- Demonstrate a proactive focus on meeting client and project requirements in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Prepare/update project status reports, process invoices, update tracking reports, and maintain files for due diligence and financials.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent organization and communication; can build rapport easily with both clients and team.
- Proficiency in the use and application of project technology as required for assigned projects.
- Proficiency in land development design including site grading, utility, and stormwater management design and an ability to teach these designs to the Project Engineers and Designers on the Team.
- Understanding of and experience with land development permitting processes.
- Professional demeaner to thoroughly present projects to a range of professionals, including clients, departmental leaders, and C-level management.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Organizational Management, Business Administration, or related field required.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
- Minimum of (10) years' related experience required preferably in civil land development engineering.
