Qualifications:
Education:
Master’s degree from an accredited school of professional counseling or related field required. Active,unrestricted license as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor(LCPC) in the State of Illinois required. Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT),Licensed Clinical Psychologist (LCP), or Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) with concurrent independent licensure will also be accepted.
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years post grad work experience and experience facilitating psychoeducation, process, and/or support groups required, as are excellent professional written and verbal communication skills. Must have strong ability to work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team and the flexibility to respond dynamically to student and operational needs of the counseling center.
Preferred experience includes experience working in higher levelsof care (IOP/PHP/Residential). Experience working with substance abuse and mental health clients. Experience managing a caseload ofclients.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Characteristic Duties:
- Completes intakes and bio-psycho-social assessments with students.
- Provides evidence-based clinical mental health therapy with responsiveness to cultural, developmental and trauma informed needsof students and compliant with the America Counseling Association(ACA) code of ethics.
- Develops short-term treatment plans with each student and updates plans in a regular cadence to determine continued therapeutic need.
- Provides students with case management and coordination of carewith campus community resources and/or community partners.
- Facilitates skills workshops and therapeutic process groups for the student campus community.
- Completes clinical documentation in the Electronic Medical Record(EMR) within standards of practice and College operational policies.
- Assists with campus and community outreach to promote visibility of counseling resources and services on campus.
- Engages in a cross collaborative clinical case conference weekly.
- Engages in professional development activities (e.g. projects,committees, tasks) both on campus and off to maintain clinical license, remain current with behavioral health standards of practice, improve skills, and expand competency.
- Assists Counseling Services Manager with data collection for Mental Health Early Action on Campus Act (MHEACA) grant reporting.
- Performs other duties as needed.
Physical Requirements:
Work is primarily indoor and sedentary in nature.
Equipment/Tools Used:Utilize standard office equipment, including computers, in order toperform the duties of the job.
Supervision:Under the general supervision of the Manager of Counseling Services.
