American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist for a multispecialty clinic setting, requiring 2+ years of experience and ARRT certification with a focus on orthopedic patients.

Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of experience required, preferably a mix of acute and outpatient settings
  • BLS and ARRT certification required
  • Illinois IEMA license required if applicable
  • Experience working with pediatric through geriatric patient populations
  • Comfortable assisting orthopedic patients with varying degrees of mobility, including non-weight-bearing patients
  • Epic EMR experience preferred
  • Must be comfortable working independently and be self-directed
Responsibilities
  • Multispecialty clinic supporting an orthopedic clinic with 2 X-ray rooms
  • Average of 50-70 patients per day
  • Patient population ranges from pediatric to geriatric, including non-ambulatory patients requiring positioning assistance
  • Performs general X-ray imaging including extremities, chest, head, and spine with a focus on orthopedic cases
  • No portables, fluoro, or OR procedures
  • Rotating shift schedule, Monday-Friday 8:00 AM-6:00 PM and weekends 8:00 AM-4:00 PM
  • Standard scheduled shift is Monday-Friday
  • Weekend rotation as needed
  • No on-call requirements
  • May float to nearby Lincolnshire, Hoffman Estates, and Lakemoor locations with at least 1 day notice
  • Uses Epic EMR, GE Centricity PACS, GE overhead X-ray, and Del Medical floor mounted unit
  • Works alongside 1 other rad tech and Patient Service Representatives within the department
  • Site manager present with additional management available by phone
  • MAs from the orthopedic clinic assist with patient transport; rad techs may transfer patients back as needed
  • Panic buttons available in rooms for emergencies; no code team on-site, 911 called if needed
  • Orientation includes NEO followed by a full first week of unit orientation
  • No holiday coverage requirements
  • RTO requests go through the manager
  • Must provide at least 2 hours notice for sick call-outs
  • Scrubs may be any professional color without logos
  • Free on-site parking provided
  • First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
