Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) – Level III NICU/PICU

JConnect Healthcare is seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a travel assignment in Illinois. This opportunity is ideal for a respiratory therapist with strong Level III NICU and PICU experience.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide respiratory care to critically ill neonatal and pediatric patients.
• Assess, monitor, and treat patients with acute and complex respiratory conditions.
• Manage and monitor mechanical ventilation, oxygen therapy, and other respiratory support equipment.
• Assist with emergency respiratory interventions and resuscitation when needed.
• Perform airway management, including suctioning and other respiratory procedures.
• Monitor patient response to therapy and communicate changes in condition to the healthcare team.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
• Follow all patient safety, infection-control, and facility policies and procedures.

Requirements:

• Active Respiratory Therapist license.
• Current NBRC RRT credential.
• Recent experience in a Level III NICU and/or PICU setting.
• Current BLS certification.
• Additional certifications such as NRP and PALS may be required.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills.
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts.
