This is a role well suited for a highly motivated student looking to build their skill set and gain hands-on experience. As a Nuclear Engineering Co-Op, you will be responsible for:
- Using radiation sourcestocollect data from detector systems for the purpose of testing detector,collimator, or shielding technologies
- Developing code to process and analyze that data to answer specific technical questions
- Developing mechanical or electrical test fixtures and/or sub-assembliestoenable the testing of detector or collimator technologies
- Developing algorithms or analysis methods to aid in the technical investigation of detector or collimator technologies
- Presentingyourdevelopment activities, in-process work items,results and discussion in aprofessional manner to engineering staff and management

Required skills and education to have for the success of this role:
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program, majoring in Engineering, Physics, or Medical Physics (rising junior or senior preferred)
- Minimum 3.0 GPA (preferred)
- Registered and eligible to participate in a co-op through your university
