Job OverviewThe role of the Head Housekeeper is to successfully oversee the entire housekeeping operation and team on a daily basis, looking after all public areas of Clarges Mayfair and to provide the highest level of care and service to all residents, internal employees / clients and directors in line with the agreed service level and procedures. First and foremost is to always be motivated, highly engaged to provide personalized “world class” customer care and service to all residents, internal employees / clients and directors in line with the agreed service standards and procedures.

Responsibilities- Assign workers their duties and inspect work for conformance to prescribed standards of cleanliness.
- Investigate complaints regarding housekeeping service and equipment and take corrective action.
- Obtain and assign a list of rooms to be cleaned immediately.
- Conduct training to explain policies, work procedures and to demonstrate use and maintenance of equipment.
- Inventory stock to ensure adequate supplies; conduct list if supplies to be ordered by Chef and ensure order will arrive.
- Make recommendations to improve service and ensure efficient operations. Liaise with General Manager and Maintenance and notify them of areas/equipment in need of attention.
- Ensure that all resident suites and public areas are serviced and cleaned daily.
- Ensure that staff are coached and trained to perform their duties effectively.
- Ensure that adequate supplies of cleaning materials are available for day staff and night staff.
- Adhere to all VRS policies and procedures.
- Perform other related duties as required.
- Must be skilled at problem‑solving, including being able to identify issues and resolve them in a timely manner.
- Must possess strong interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to prioritize and plan work activities to use time efficiently.
- Must be organized, accurate, thorough, and able to monitor work for quality.
- Must have the ability to establish and maintain good interpersonal relations by displaying tact, courtesy and patience with applicants, residents, and staff.
- High school graduation or equivalent.
- WHMIS Certificate.
- At least 3 years of housekeeping experience.
- 1 year of working in a supervisory/managerial role.
