The role involves preparing and concluding sourcing contracts based on customer requirements, ensuring quality and on‑time delivery, and focusing on business‑specific procurement.
Responsibilities- You will issue purchase orders and communicate performance expectations and general requirements to suppliers.
- You will conduct follow‑up on open POs – including order acknowledgment, expediting, delivery verification, and maintaining PO dates per MRP messages.
- You will publish forecasts to help suppliers support requirements at Siemens Healthineers.
- You will resolve receiving and invoice issues.
- You will return rejected material to suppliers.
- You will meet regularly with key suppliers to confirm delivery status and drive improvement of delivery issues.
- You will independently solve basic supply chain management issues.
- You will work with supplier quality, engineering and planning to release Engineering Change Orders (ECO) to suppliers.
- Basic knowledge of materials management processes.
- Experience with SAP Material Management module (MM) within a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to participate in cross‑functional teams.
- Excellent communication and time‑management skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management.
- 2 years of buying experience.
- Intermediate MS Office software skills.
- Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
- Relevant industry experience and job titles such as buyer, senior buyer, purchasing agent, procurement specialist, supply chain specialist, or supply planner.
$73,030 - $100,419. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
