A national nonprofit organization is seeking an experienced Content Manager to lead the planning, creation, and management of content across digital and print channels. This role is responsible for strengthening brand awareness, supporting fundraising and marketing initiatives, and ensuring consistent messaging across all communications.
Position SummaryThe Content Manager will develop and execute a comprehensive content strategy while managing the organization's editorial calendar and producing high-quality content for a variety of audiences. This individual will work closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to create communications that support organizational goals and increase national visibility.
Responsibilities Include- Develop and execute the organization's content strategy.
- Write, edit, and publish content for websites, blogs, email campaigns, newsletters, social media, fundraising initiatives, annual reports, and marketing materials.
- Manage the editorial calendar and coordinate content across departments.
- Produce compelling stories, campaign messaging, and organizational communications.
- Optimize content for SEO and digital performance.
- Monitor content analytics and recommend improvements based on performance.
- Maintain brand standards and ensure consistency across all communication channels.
- Coordinate with designers, photographers, videographers, and external partners on content production.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, Public Relations, or a related field.
- Five or more years of experience in content marketing, communications, journalism, or a similar role.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Strong understanding of SEO, digital marketing, and social media best practices.
- Experience with content management systems, email marketing platforms, Google Analytics, and social media management tools.
- Proficiency with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Word Press, Hub Spot, or similar platforms is preferred.
- Nonprofit marketing or communications experience is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and project management abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Creative thinker with sound editorial judgment and attention to detail.
- Self-motivated, collaborative, and results-oriented.
