Pet Cure Oncology – Hoffman Estates
Full-time – Monday – Thursday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. About the Role
Pet Cure Oncology, a Thrive Pet Healthcare partner and one of the most exciting and innovative veterinary oncology providers in the country, is seeking a highly energized, compassionate Certified Veterinary Technician to support the radiation oncology service at our Hoffman Estates location. The ideal candidate must be highly skilled in administering and monitoring anesthesia, and will provide compassionate patient care, excellent client communication, and support the growth of the department.
The technician will assist with patient care, anesthesia monitoring, and other responsibilities as required.
- Required:
2 years of veterinary experience; specialty hospital and oncology experience is a plus. - Certified Veterinary Technician – required.
- Phlebotomy experience – required.
- Experience in managing critical patients – preferred.
- Strong background in administering and monitoring anesthesia – required.
- Ability to multi‑task, adjust, and learn in a fast‑paced environment.
- Team player with great communication skills.
- Excellent computer skills; able to learn new cloud‑based applications quickly.
- Can fully use technical skills and learn from new experiences.
- Provide input and assist with all aspects of patient care.
- Promote Pet Cure Oncology and SRS through education and participation in community events and other duties as needed.

Compensation negotiable based on credentials and experience with an hourly pay rate starting at $28–$32/hour. The actual rate will be determined by a range of factors.
