The Export Manager will oversee and manage all aspects of export operations, ensuring efficient, compliant, and cost-effective movement of shipments via air and ocean. This role includes leadership of the export team, operational strategy, vendor management, customer service excellence, and continuous process improvement. The ideal candidate will be a hands‑on leader with deep expertise in both Air and Ocean freight forwarding.
- Salary:

- Manage and supervise daily Air and Ocean export operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing of shipments
- Oversee end-to-end export workflow, including booking, documentation, customs compliance, and final delivery
- Resolve operational issues and escalating when necessary
- Implement and improve operational processes to increase efficiency and reduce errors
- Lead, train, and mentor the Export team (Coordinators, Specialists, or Agents)
- Conduct performance reviews, coaching, and development plans
- Ensure adequate staffing levels and workload distribution
- Foster a positive, high-performance work environment
- Ensure compliance with all U.S. export regulations (AES/ITN filing, EAR, ITAR when applicable)
- Oversee accurate preparation of shipping documents including:
Air Waybills (AWB), Bills of Lading (BOL), Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, Certificates of Origin - Work closely with Customs Brokers and regulatory agencies when needed
- Track KPIs related to on-time performance, cost control, and productivity
- Provide regular operational reports to senior management
- Identify trends and recommend improvements to workflows and systems
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience in Freight Forwarding Exports (Air & Ocean)
- At least 2–4 years in a supervisory or managerial role
- Strong knowledge of U.S. export regulations (AES, Incoterms, documentation, compliance)
- Hands‑on experience with Air and Ocean shipments
- Familiarity with freight forwarding software (Cargo Wise)
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities
