JOB OVERVIEWThis position is responsible for monitoring and maintaining physical inventory of all products for all NSK divisions. To coordinate inventory requirements and procurement details. It is the responsibility of the inventory specialist to compile and maintain records of the quantity, type, and value of the supplies of a company. This position will oversee the records of all stock, provide estimation of potential stock requirements to purchasing while conducting daily audits of inventory.
ESSENTIALFUNCTIONS
- Focus on all aspects of inventory movement including product sales, re-stocking, and accounting for every item in the warehouse
- Receive inventory for all NSK divisions
- Manage groups, part numbers, and serial numbers for receiving
- Supervise the inventory cycle counting including reporting of inventory surplus, product returns and damages
- Ensures compliance to inventory processes and procedures as well as compliance to contractual obligations
- Maintaining an efficient barcoding system for labeling of all products to streamline pick/pack process.
- Manage cycle counting concentrating on high volume, high value products
- Assists in developing solutions to specific problem areas
- Ensure a first in first out inventory process
- Organize and execute special inventory counts
- Responsible for controlling parts used by service technicians
- Assist warehouse with pick and pack when necessary
- Work with purchasing in identifying inventory issues such as back orders or expired products
- Support Purchasing Coordinator as needed
- Coordinate with purchasing as appropriate regarding order points and replenishment quantities
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in material management, logistics, inventory organization and receiving
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with an ability to multitask
- Experience in ERPs, inventory processes and overseeing production line processes
- Computer literacy
- Strong communication skills
