Maintenance Mechanic II – Holland, MI
Shift & ScheduleThis is a full-time position on 2nd shift: 2:30pm – 11pm Monday – Friday. Flexibility to work overtime, weekends and holidays is required.
Position Responsibilities- Maintain a safe and healthy environment, demonstrating safe behaviors at all times.
- Focus on Good Manufacturing and Food Safety practices in all work.
- Analyze mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, or electrical problems and make repairs through adjustments, defective parts replacement, or fabrication.
- Wire moderately complex control circuits.
- Teach basic mechanical skills to line operators to support autonomous maintenance, TPM functions, equipment set‑up and centerlining.
- Fabricate, repair, and install hangers and all types of piping including hot/cold water, steam, process and condensate, utilizing formulas for all phases.
- Ability to quickly learn to weld and machine metals, plastics, and composites.
- Fabricate or replicate minor pieces for the repair or replacement of parts on equipment.
- Complete size changeovers and troubleshoot liquid fillers and packaging equipment.
- Identify root causes of mechanical, electrical and control failures and resolve with effective problem‑solving tools with minimal downtime or supervision.
- Troubleshoot and program minor changes in Allen Bradley PLC (SLC
500, Micro Logix, Compact Logix, and Control Logix). - Generate productivity and continuous improvement ideas.

- Pay starting at $25.86 per hour + $0.35 shift differential.

- 2 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment or equivalent education.
- Experience with electric, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems preferred.
- Fabrication experience preferred.
- Self‑motivated team player with the ability and willingness to make decisions, effectively communicate, problem solve and teach others.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to frequently walk, kneel, squat, climb, bend, stoop, and twist.
- Ability to work in a variety of temperature and humidity conditions.
