Position Purpose:
Responsible for assisting the Director of Maintenance in performing routine maintenance and repair work.
Days:
Saturday - Tuesday
Hours:
5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m
Long Term Care Facility & Painting Experience Required
Qualifications:
High School Diploma
Training and/or expertise to operate and maintain the electric and mechanical systems with the location. Long Term experience preferred.
Major Responsibilities
Maintain and cleans parts of electric and mechanical equipment as assigned.
Reports mechanical problems to the Director or Maintenance
Assists in performing fire drills.
Cleans lint, dust and dirt from dryers, vents and heat registers in rooms and other areas.
Ensures wheelchairs, shower chairs and drug carts are in functional condition.
Works jointly with housekeeping department personnel to service floors, all patient rooms, baths, lounges, and nurses’ stations as offices as assigned.
Perform any miscellaneous work assignment as may be required.
Keeps grounds cleared of debris, collects and disposes of leaves and refuse in keeping with local code.
