We’re seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist for one of our favorite manufacturing clients in the southern suburbs to manage full-cycle recruiting and deliver an exceptional candidate experience from initial outreach through onboarding.
This role is ideal for an HR or recruiting professional who is organized, proactive, and thrives in a fast-paced, operational environment.
What You’ll Do- Partner with hiring managers to understand workforce needs and role requirements
- Create and post engaging job descriptions across internal and external channels
- Source candidates using job boards, social media, referrals, community outreach, and networking
- Screen resumes, conduct phone interviews, and assess candidate fit
- Coordinate and participate in interviews while ensuring timely, clear candidate communication
- Prepare and extend offers in partnership with leadership
- Support background checks, reference checks, and pre-employment screenings
- Assist with onboarding paperwork, orientation, and scheduling to ensure a smooth start
- Support and enhance recruiting practices to attract a diverse, high-quality talent pool
- Represent the organization at job fairs, workforce events, and community recruiting initiatives
- Collaborate with leadership to improve hiring efficiency and reduce time-to-fill
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
- CSP, SHRM, or SPHR certification a plus
- 2+ years of recruiting or HR experience, ideally in a manufacturing or operational environment
- Experience using ATS platforms and digital recruiting tools
- Strong communication, organization, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to manage multiple requisitions and meet deadlines
- Knowledge of Illinois labor laws and recruiting compliance
- Hands-on recruiting with direct impact on business operations
- Strong partnership with hiring leaders

Compensation: up to $85k
