Function as a charge nurse by serving as a resource person to staff, answering questions, problem solving, and make decisions relevant to resident care.
Monitor the resident’s overall condition and provide care as required while maintaining compliance with the facility policy and procedures.
Provide primary skin care to residents under the medical direction and supervision of the residents’ attending physicians, or the Director of Nursing Services, with an emphasis on treatment and therapy of skin disorders.
Must be able to identify, manage, and treat specific skin disorders, primary and secondary lesions, and decubitus ulcers.
Ensure that residents with decubitus ulcers receive appropriate prophylaxis and treatment such as daily inspection, turning and activity, a well-planned diet, and maintaining a clean, dry bed.
Participate in the development and implementation of an individualized patient care plan for the resident with allied health team members.
Implement total nursing care plan through assessment, planning and evaluation.
Provide medical care for residents including taking vital signs and passing medication.
Properly and accurately document all actions and changes for each resident.
Provide oversight for certified nursing assistants.
Maintain a positive attitude towards the residents and teammates.
License/Certification:- RN/LPN (Required)
