Maintenance Floater

Overview

Our company is seeking a qualified individual with industry experience. Reporting directly to the Chief Building Engineer or the Account Manager-Engineering, the Maintenance Floater will be tasked with general maintenance and repairs of facility equipment and property structures, as well as grounds maintenance while floating to different locations. Candidates must have a valid Hawaii driver’s license, reliable vehicle, previous hands-on maintenance experience, proficiency in light plumbing, electrical work, HVAC, carpentry, and painting, all tasks must be performed in accordance with EPA, Hazmat, and OSHA safety regulations.

• Perform preventative maintenance inspections and repairs: painting, drywall, plumbing, electrical, mechanical and heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) and grounds maintenance
• Excellent customer service skills to interact with property managers, vendors, customers, etc.
• Drive to different locations to provide coverage
• Able to lift, push, pull a minimum of 50lbs up to 75lbs, walk, bend, stretch during shift
• Ensure mechanical equipment and systems are working in order and fixed as necessary.
• Create and maintain work orders
• Create and maintain purchase orders
• Perform any additional maintenance related duties as required by Hawaiian Building Maintenance (HBM) supervisor/property management

• Must pass background check
• High school diploma/GED
• Must have a valid Hawaii driver's license and a reliable vehicle
• Ability to work a flexible schedule
• Must have basic hand tools
• General preventative maintenance experience is required (Basic commercial plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and drywall)
• Troubleshooting abilities
• Mechanical aptitude
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions in English
• Must have good public relations skills and communication
• Customer service oriented
• Strong organizational skills
• Applicants must perform basic manual labor, clean common areas, frequently lift, press, push, pull, carry a minimum of 50lbs (up to 75lbs), be able to reach overhead, grasp objects, bend, kneel, crawl, squat, climb, stretch, walk, walk up and down a stairway, climb up/down a ladder and stand throughout their shift.
