Position OverviewAirport Maintenance and Repair Supervisor
Supervises a group of several airport maintenance repairers and directs the maintenance and repair of the facilities, equipment, aircraft operations, and other areas of a primary airport. May also supervise laboring and other personnel and performs related duties as assigned.
Qualifications- Eight (8) years of work experience in building and equipment repair, including four (4) years as fully competent worker and one (1) year of supervisory work experience involving planning, scheduling, assigning, reviewing work, and providing training.
- Knowledge of basic practices and methods in building and equipment maintenance and repair, safety procedures, carpentry, painting, plumbing, masonry trades, and supervision principles.
- Ability to plan, lay out, assign and review work of a group of maintenance repairers; develop preventive maintenance schedules; use hand tools; read blueprints and sketches; estimate time and materials; keep records; prepare oral and written reports; follow operational requirements and regulations of a primary airport.
- Valid State of Hawaii motor vehicle operator's license, Type 3.
- Security Identification Display Area clearance: no disqualifying criminal convictions within the past ten years.

Testing will be conducted on an unassembled basis, evaluating education and experience. In-person interviews or further testing in Hawaii may be required.
