Independently performs skilled mechanical repair work, including the adjustment, maintenance and repair of a wide variety of machinery and equipment such as water pumps and mechanical laundry equipment. Conducts continuous work assignments in accordance with diagrams. Other duties include inspection, repair and preventative maintenance on mechanical equipment in tunnels and on tunnel approaches, conducting and reporting on structural inspections of tunnels and viaducts, reading operating manuals, and following the manufacturer's specifications, basic trade practices, and other related duties as assigned.

• Legal Authorization to Work:
  Must be a citizen, national, permanent resident alien of the United States, or otherwise eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment in the United States.
• Experience:
  
  At least three (3) years of experience in performing mechanical repair and maintenance of a wide variety of mechanical and electrical equipment, or an equivalent combination of experience and training.
• Driver’s License:
  Must possess a valid driver’s license at the time of appointment.
