Job SummaryThe primary purpose of this role is to perform industry‑leading pest management services for residential customers. The technician will identify and eliminate pests through thorough inspections, determine infestation types, apply appropriate products and traps, and provide preventative measures—all while adhering to safety regulations and communicating with clients about solutions.
Responsibilities- Conduct thorough inspections to identify signs of infestation, damage, and entry points.
- Apply approved pest control products, including chemicals, baits, and traps, while adhering to safety standards.
- Educate customers on pest prevention methods and provide advice to reduce future infestations.
- Build customer relationships, schedule and confirm appointments, support sales to existing customers, and expand product offerings to new customers.
- Maintain, restock, and ensure all pest control equipment is in good working condition.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations regarding pest control products and safety protocols.
- Drive and safely operate a company‑provided service vehicle.
- Work in tight, confined spaces such as basements, attics, crawl spaces, and narrow aisles.
- Operate around animals, insects, and termites, including mechanical parts, vehicles, electrical current, heights, scaffolding, fumes, dust, and chemicals.
- Work both inside and outside in local climate wearing company‑provided weather gear.
- Perform frequent physical tasks (sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, stairs, ladders, scaffolding, ramps, and poles).
- Wear personal protective equipment (PPE), such as an OSHA‑compliant respirator.
- Clean shaven face for safety reasons.
- High school diploma, GED, or related experience and/or training.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to use a company vehicle.
- Required licenses or certificates covered by the company.
- Availability to work Monday‑Friday and weekends as needed.
- Open to learning all areas of pest control.
- Solid reading, writing, and verbal communication skills.
- Basic math skills for mixing instructions on product labels.
- Customer‑facing experience preferred.
Annual earning potential over $40k base + commission for the first 12 months. Base pay hourly $17.00 - $23.00. Actual earnings vary by location, skills, experience, overtime, incentives, and performance.
