Maintenance Apprentice

We are seeking a maintenance apprentice to join our dynamic and innovative team. Reporting directly to the Site Supervisor or Chief Engineer. The candidate will be responsible for general maintenance and grounds maintenance. This role offers hands‑on experience, working closely with maintenance technicians and building engineers to acquire essential skills in machinery, equipment maintenance, repair techniques, and safety practices. Candidates must pass an HBM prescreen check, possess a valid driver’s license, have access to a reliable vehicle.

Previous hands‑on basic maintenance experience is preferred, but it is not required. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team are essential. • Schedule:
  
  Varies 6:00 AM to 5:00 PM, 40 hours per week (subjective to emergencies: after hours, weekends and holidays)
• Compensation per hour: $20.00 to $22.00

• Perform preventative maintenance inspections and repairs, which may include:
  Basic plumbing, electrical work, mechanical systems, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, painting, drywall, and grounds maintenance.
• Ability to access tight spaces.
• Capable of working in a fast‑paced environment.
• Ensure mechanical equipment and systems are functioning correctly and conduct repairs as necessary.
• Deliver outstanding customer service when interacting with property managers, vendors, and clients.
• Engage in continuous movement, including standing, walking, bending, and stretching throughout the shift.
• Lift, push, and pull weights between 50 to 75 pounds.
• Create and maintain work orders and purchase orders.
• Complete any additional maintenance‑related tasks assigned by the HBM supervisor or property management.

• A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• A valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle are required.
• Must successfully pass HBM prescreen check.
