Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
Duties Summary
Independently performs skilled mechanical repair work in the adjustment, maintenance, and repair of a wide variety of machinery and equipment such as water pumps, mechanical laundry equipment, and continuing work assignments in accordance with diagrams. Other duties include inspection, repair, and conducting preventative maintenance on mechanical equipment in tunnels and tunnel approach areas, conducting and reporting on structural inspections of tunnels and viaducts, reading operating manuals, and following manufacturer’s specifications, basic trade practices, and other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications- Legal authorization to work in the United States as a citizen, national, permanent‑resident alien, or eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment.
- At least three (3) years of experience in mechanical repair and maintenance of a wide variety of mechanical and electrical equipment or an equivalent combination of experience and training.
- Valid driver's license at the time of appointment.
- Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) clearance – applicable for positions requiring unescorted access to secured areas. Must not have a disqualifying criminal offense within ten years of application.
All applicants must be available to work rotating shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
