Job Overview

Immediate vacancies to classify and handle laundry in the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation at Halawa Correctional Facility and Women's Community Correctional Center.

• Classify clothing for washing.
• Determine soap formulas and solutions for removing stains.
• Supervise helpers performing various laundry tasks.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• Legal Authorization to Work
  :
  Applicants must be citizens, nationals, or permanent residents of the United States or otherwise eligible for unrestricted employment.
• Experience
  :
  Three (3) years of commercial or institutional laundry experience, including knowledge of commercial or institutional washers, extractors, tumblers, or driers.
• Driver's License
  : A valid driver's license required for the immediate vacancy.
• PREA Requirement
  :
  Must not have any disqualifying conduct as described under the Prison Rape Elimination Act.
• Background Screening
  :
  Drug screening and intensive background check required for positions that are approved for movement.
