  • Perform hands-on maintenance, repair, and calibration of cardiovascular, strength, and other recreational equipment, including disassembly, part replacement, lubrication, and console calibration, while ensuring compliance with safety standards and guidelines.
  • Conduct regular equipment inspections and safety audits, and promptly troubleshoot, repair, or escalate issues to mitigate hazards and ensure equipment remains in safe working condition.
  • Perform routine building and facility maintenance checks within the Campus Center Complex, ensuring the facility is properly secured, identifying maintenance needs, and reporting or addressing issues to maintain a safe, clean, and functional environment.
  • Develop, implement, and manage a comprehensive preventive maintenance program aligned with industry standards for all recreation equipment, including cardiovascular, strength, and outdoor sports equipment used in programs and excursions.
  • Coordinate with equipment manufacturers and third-party service providers to arrange warranty repairs or specialized maintenance that falls outside the scope of this position, and obtain necessary certifications when applicable.
  • Maintain an organized inventory of replacement parts and supplies to minimize downtime; identify needs and coordinate procurement with SLD Business Services to ensure consistency and timely delivery.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with vendors, service providers, staff, and facility users to coordinate maintenance, repairs, and facility operations.
  • Schedule and perform major repairs during off-peak hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as necessary to minimize disruption to facility operations and users.
  • Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate student Service Associates in the proper execution of equipment cleaning, inspection, and reporting procedures.
  • Maintain detailed service records and documentation, and prepare reports to support warranty tracking, capital planning, and annual budgeting processes.
  • In the absence of on-site management, respond to facility-related incidents or emergencies, including equipment failures or safety concerns, and ensure appropriate corrective actions and communication protocols are followed.
  • Assist in the preparation of project presentations, reports, and updates for internal and external stakeholders, and provide input on project-related analysis and solutions.
