You will serve as a FUL
- Park Guide. The primary purpose of this position is to provide guide services to visitors. The work involves giving talks, interpreting natural and historic features, answering questions, guiding tours, and providing miscellaneous services to visitors You may be required to work on-call, evenings, weekends, holidays, overtime and shift work.
Some of the major duties you will perform include but are not limited to the following:
Utilize interpretive techniques (such as metaphors, storytelling, analogies) that invoke audience engagement and facilitate intellectual and/or emotional connections between audiences' interests and their surroundings Giving talks
- Provides talks normally following a prescribed outline and requiring application of broad subject matter knowledge of the features of interest specific to the site. Guiding Parties
- Guides individuals and groups along a fixed route and must keep the group together, maintain a pace which the group can keep up with and still conform to prescribed schedules. Providing services to visitors
- Provides a wide range of services to visitors, including assistance with lost articles, car trouble, and first aid; and provides information about weather conditions, highway routes, park facilities, and orientation to the local area.
