Waikiki Health is seeking a full-time maintenance specialist.

Pay rate for this role is $21.00 - $23.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Schedule:

Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

Summary of position: The Maintenance Specialist performs needed repairs and improvements at Keauhou Shelter. Ability to work under minimal supervision is required.

Qualifications and abilities

• Education :
  High school diploma required.
• Experience: Minimum two years of work experience in repair and maintenance work, including one year of experience working with plumbing and electrical work.
• Credentials: Must have a valid driver license and a reliable driving record.
• Physical Ability: Capacity to lift up to 50 pounds from the ground.

  Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Core Skills :
  Strong organizational skills with a proven ability to complete assigned tasks independently.

General Duties include but are not limited to

• Facility Repairs & Improvements :
  Execute routine shelter maintenance, facility upgrades, and troubleshooting to ensure a safe, operational environment. [ 1 ]
• Vendor & Service Coordination :
  Source outside contractors, coordinate specialized repairs, and manage service payments and vendor relationships efficiently.
• Operations & Equipment Maintenance :
  Oversee daily functionality of essential shelter infrastructure, ensuring laundry facilities and specialized machinery operate properly.
• Safety Committee Representation :
  Act as the department representative for the Waikiki Health safety committee, strictly enforcing site safety protocols and regulations.
• Compliance & Administrative Support :
  Partner with the Housing First Manager to ensure full facility compliance while maintaining strict client confidentiality at all times.
• Other duties as assigned
