Role Description The Facility Maintenance Manager, Airports, is a full-time, on-site role based in Honolulu responsible for overseeing maintenance operations across airport facilities. The role includes planning, coordinating, and supervising building and infrastructure maintenance activities to ensure safe, reliable, and compliant operations. Day-to-day tasks involve scheduling preventive maintenance, managing work orders, inspecting facilities and systems, and prioritizing repairs to minimize downtime and service disruptions.

The Facility Maintenance Manager leads and mentors maintenance staff, collaborates with airport operations and safety teams, and works closely with vendors and contractors to ensure timely and cost-effective service delivery. The role also includes tracking maintenance budgets, maintaining documentation and compliance records, and supporting continuous improvement of maintenance processes, safety practices, and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Strong supervisory skills, including team leadership, scheduling, performance management, and training.
• Demonstrated expertise in Facility Management (FM), with experience managing complex, multi-site or airport facilities.
• Proficiency in preventive maintenance planning, implementation, and monitoring to extend equipment and asset life.
• Hands-on experience with building maintenance, including mechanical, electrical, structural, and general repairs.
• Maintenance management skills, including work order coordination, vendor management, and use of CMMS or similar systems.
• Knowledge of safety regulations, airport operations standards, and applicable building codes and compliance requirements.

Relevant technical certification or vocational training in maintenance, facilities, or a related field; an associate or bachelor’s degree in facilities management, engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.

• Experience in airport, transportation, or high-security environments is beneficial.
