Overview
Is seeking a highly motivated full-time Laborer 2 for our Department of Public Works. Under direction, takes the lead and works with a group of laborers engaged in manual and unskilled work; does other related duties as required.
Responsibilities- Digs trenches and performs manual grading
- Cleans incinerators
- Collects rubbish and other refuse
- Cuts grass, trims hedges, waters lawns, flowers, and vegetable beds
- Loads and unloads trucks
- Snow Duty:
Snow Plowing, snow shoveling, and salting - Shovels gravel and sand
- Mixes cement and mortar
- Places forms used in concrete work
- Performs cold patching/hot patching
- Cleans up underbrush, foliage, vines, and weeds
- Available for emergency call outs as required
- Assist Water Department as needed (working hours and call outs)
- Must Have Valid Drivers License as Well as CDL Class B
