Qualifications:

High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required. Licensure requirements:
Applicable boiler operator license required. Candidates who do not currently hold the required license must be willing to obtain it within two (2) years of hire. Additional licenses or certifications required for the assigned building (e.g., pool operator, electrical, or other applicable certifications) must be held or obtained as required.

General Nature of Job:
The Head Custodian is responsible for providing a clean, safe, and welcoming learning environment for students, staff, and visitors. This position oversees the daily custodial operations of the assigned building, including cleaning and sanitizing classrooms, restrooms, hallways, and common areas; maintaining building supplies; and ensuring district standards for cleanliness and safety are met. The Head Custodian coordinates and performs routine maintenance tasks, assigns and monitors work orders, supports building safety compliance, reports facility concerns, and assists with the upkeep of school grounds.

The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills, work effectively both independently and as part of a team, and take pride in maintaining school facilities that support student learning and success.

Rate of Pay: $24.51 - $26.72/hr. depending on experience along with a $1.20/hr differential; also eligible for medical, dental, Lift/LTD insurance, flex benefits, 403(b) match, sick, vacation and personal leave.
